Overview
Native-ish ("we", "our", "the app") is a Spanish language learning app. We collect only the data needed to provide and improve the service. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
What we collect
- •Account information — your email address and encrypted password, used to identify your account and sync your data across devices.
- •Learning data — flashcards you save, practice session results, training minutes, and your selected Spanish level and dialect. Stored so your progress syncs across devices.
- •Conversation content — text from AI-powered practice conversations. Used only to generate the next response. Full transcripts are not stored on our servers; only a brief summary is kept in your device's local storage.
- •App preferences — your dialect, theme, and notification settings.
- •Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe (web) or Apple/Google (in-app purchases). We never see or store your full card number.
- •Device and usage data — platform (iOS/Android/web), app version, and anonymized crash reports. Used to diagnose bugs.
How we use your data
- •Provide and personalize the learning experience (stories, conversation difficulty, card scheduling).
- •Sync your progress across devices via encrypted cloud storage.
- •Process subscription payments and manage access to premium features.
- •Send optional study-reminder push notifications (only if you enable them).
- •Diagnose and fix bugs and crashes.
Third-party services
We use the following services. Each has its own privacy policy.
- •Supabase — account authentication and cloud data storage.
- •Google Gemini — powers the AI conversation coach and story generation.
- •Stripe — payment processing for web subscriptions.
- •RevenueCat — subscription management for iOS and Android in-app purchases.
- •Upstash — fast cross-device data sync (Redis).
- •Vercel — app hosting and deployment.
Data retention
Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at mrshawnconrad@gmail.com. Upon deletion, your personal data is removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To export or delete your data, go to Settings → Advanced → Download backup or contact us at mrshawnconrad@gmail.com.
Children
Native-ish is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, by notifying you in the app.
